The sky may be the next frontier for time-lapse and hyper-lapse techniques. Aerial videographer Jonathan Lucan made this 2-minute short film titled NightLapse Concerto. It’s an aerial hyperlapse that was created entirely from RAW DNG still photos captured from the sky with a DJI Inspire 1 drone.

Pretty glorious and gloriously illegal. A very interesting and labor intensive technique. My guess is that they spent an enormous amount of time in post production just registering sequences to make up for the drone moving
during capture.
